We believe the tire and auto repair industry is full of incredible, hardworking, humble, and often unsung people. We started Gain Traction to give these voices a platform. You won’t find hype or fluff here, just real conversations that inspire, inform, and connect.
This isn’t just a podcast for shop owners or industry leaders. It’s for anyone who loves cars, hearing great stories, cares about the business, and wants to see the industry thrive.
Meet the Host
Mike Edge
Mike Edge, host of the Gain Traction Podcast (the exclusive podcast for Tire Business, the leading tire publication), is entering the podcast’s 4th year. He also leads Tread Partners in Strategic Partnerships. Mike has been involved in internet marketing since 2001 and automotive aftermarket marketing since 2003.
Mike loves the tire and auto repair space and especially enjoys getting to know and interviewing his podcast guests. His goal with the podcast is to lift the industry up by highlighting the individuals who make it work. For Mike, it is about “connecting the industry.”
Married with five children and several grandchildren, Mike has been involved in multiple civic and charity organizations in his community for many years. Nothing is more fun for him than Friday Night High School Football. Mike also enjoys good food, drinks, and conversations with good people.
